"You are doing an additional service for us...(the freight from vendors) is arriving in better condition and eliminating the need for us to document damage to the freight.  Obviously, we were looking for cost savings on the moves themselves, but the other...is appreciated by those that have to handle the freight receipts."

               –Deb Sromalla, Velvac

   "One call does it all."

               –Chuck Carter, Harley-Davidson Motor Company

"I had a really happy customer that needed their order today.  (W.I.S.) got it done for me.  Once again, ROCK STARS!"

              --Audrey Blaeske, Jorgensen Conveyors

"THE THIRD OPTION" – PARTIAL LOADS

Your LTL rate is higher than your Truckload rate, yet your Truckload rate is too high.

Your cargo is fragile and you don't want it handled through the numerous terminals of an LTL carrier.

You have cargo with value that exceeds the coverage of your LTL carrier, especially if you have FAK rates negotiated.

If any of these situations sound familiar, W.I.S. has the perfect solution.  We work with contract carriers who specialize in the transportation of partials.  While LTL carriers build shipments between terminals with freight on their dock, our partial carriers accept freight in specific lanes to build Truckloads with stop-offs in transit.

There are a number of advantages to this type of transportation:

  • Your freight is not transferred, and less handling helps protect your fragile cargo
  • You aren't paying for the full truckload, but a prorated portion of it
  • Your product is protected for full actual value

Additional specialized equipment is available to protect your shipments like 100% air-ride equipment, E-track trailers, cargo straps, load bars, bulkheads, and other securement methods.

We hire only the most dependable, carefully screened contract carriers to haul your shipments.  These carriers, like our Truckload carriers, are benchmarked for quality of performance, including on-time pickup and delivery, the best insurance coverage and claim-free handling.  They are also required to maintain the highest safety rating from the Department of Transportation.

We look forward to working with you when your next shipment is ready to be transported.  It costs nothing to call...and that one call may save you hundreds of dollars over other traditional methods of shipping.
